With more than 70 years of constant involvement in the sector we have worked with over 200 schools to help manage, maintain and improve their buildings.  A condition survey and planned maintenance report are often the starting point for what we do. 

Clarity for planning and budgeting

A Condition Survey and Prioritised Maintenance Report are vital elements of any planned maintenance strategy.  The survey uncovers any defects, problems or potential dangers that might exist within the building and require attention, while the report allows the school to plan and implement required repairs and refurbishments in a timely fashion.

Our Condition Survey includes a thorough visual inspection of all main elements of the school building, and taking photographs and recording details of any work required. The information is then used to create a comprehensive Prioritised Maintenance Report which also includes professionally estimated costs for repairs and refurbishment. All works are prioritised in order of urgency to help you plan and implement repairs and refurbishment in the most effective and timely way. The report also helps you forecast future maintenance costs.

Hookway is able to provide estimated cash flows for all types of construction project to help ensure that income & expenditure can be successfully planned and managed. Once works are underway the cash-flow can be updated and monitored throughout the project to track actual costs and revise future estimates for improved financial understanding.

Our expert team will ensure the production of appropriate tender documents to allow competitive tenders. We will also help to identify they right contractors to deliver the project and produce the best possible outcome. During construction we will establish an integrated framework for the construction & design teams, keeping the Client informed and involved throughout the construction phase and ensuring the smooth flow of information between all parties. Our expertise in monitoring the building process allows us to ensure that the project is completed on time. This can include managing any required changes to the project, whilst keeping the client’s brief at heart and ensuring sound financial management throughout.
