Condition Surveys for schools

A Condition Survey and Prioritised Maintenance Report are vital elements of any planned maintenance strategy.  The survey uncovers any defects, problems or potential dangers that might exist within the building and require attention, while the report allows the school to plan and implement required repairs and refurbishments in a timely fashion.

We understand school buildings

Hookway has particular expertise in working with schools. With more than 50 years of constant involvement in the sector we have worked with over 150 schools to help manage, maintain and improve their buildings.  A condition survey and planned maintenance report are often the starting point for what we do.

Prioritised Maintenance Reports

Our Condition Survey includes a thorough visual inspection of all main elements of the school building, and taking photographs and recording details of any work required. The information is then used to create a comprehensive Prioritised Maintenance Report which also includes professionally estimated costs for repairs and refurbishment.

Clarity for planning and budgeting

All works are prioritised in order of urgency to help you plan and implement repairs and refurbishment in the most effective and timely way. The report also helps you forecast future maintenance costs.

“Our Trust has 30 academies located throughout Somerset, North Somerset, and Bath & North East Somerset. We use the Prioritised Maintenance Report that Hookway has produced to help us plan and implement critical preventative maintenance works throughout the academies within the Trust. The information in the reports is well presented, and the at-a-glance ‘traffic light’ system used makes it easy to see exactly what work needs to take priority ..." read more
